Youth Athletes to Receive Surprise Adaptive Sports Equipment at the New York Auto Show
Local Youth Athletes with Physical Disabilities to Receive Surprise Adaptive Sports Equipment and Training Expenses at the New York International Auto Show.
Challenged Athletes Foundation, Toyota and the New York Toyota Dealership to give life-changing grants to youth athletes with physical disabilities.
All are invited to attend Toyota Sports Festival at the New York International Auto Show where five life-changing surprise grant presentations will be made to New York/New Jersey area youth athletes with physical disabilities.
Toyota, in conjunction with their US Olympic and Paralympic sport partners, and Challenged Athletes Foundation, is holding the Toyota Sports Festival at the New York Auto Show hosting free adaptive sports like wheelchair basketball, hand cycling, sled hockey and skateboarding to create meaningful and inclusive experiences. In addition to the sport experience, Team Toyota and Team USA Wheelchair basketball 2x gold medalist, Steve Serio, will present grants for adaptive sports equipment and training expenses. Steve’s local team, The Rolling Knicks will also have a basketball wheelchair game scrimmage for spectators to watch. As a leader in the adaptive sports movement, Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) will present alongside Toyota -its’ Official Mobility Sponsor and the New York Toyota Region, five life-changing grants.
CAF and Toyota have a shared mission in providing mobility for people of all abilities. With previous stops in Park City, Los Angeles, Chicago and ending in New York, the festival boasts Team USA athlete and VIP meetups, autograph signings and surprise life-changing grants.
